Michael S. Owen, United States Ambassador to Sierra Leone (photo), has disclosed plans to bring a major US hip hop artist to the country for a major musical concert.
The ambassador, who was speaking at his residence in Signal Hill during a roundtable meeting recently with members of the press, said that a schedule concert at a big venue has been planned for later this year.
The diplomat did not disclose any name as yet of the artist, but said the concert is likely to take place in May.
The ambassador was outlining his government’s planned programs for Sierra Leone.
He told SaloneJamboree that they wanted to use hip hop to positively develop young people in this country.
