Two Chinese construction companies have won the bid to construct first-class water facilities for three cities of Bo, Kenema and Makeni, with a grant of Sixty-One Million United States Dollars, spearheaded by the Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO).

Contract for the one-year six months water project was yesterday signed at the conference room of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Development, George Street in Freetown, where Mayors of the three cities, assembled to grace what was termed as “a milestone event in the history of water projects in the three cities”.
