Vimetco doles out Le132m for Ebola fight

3The bauxite mining company in Sierra Leone, Sierra Mineral Holdings I Ltd, a subsidiary of Vimetco Company based in Russia, has donated the sum of Le132 million to the Sierra Leone Embassy in Russia in response to the Ebola outbreak in the country.
This followed a letter of appeal by the Sierra Leone Embassy in Russia.

The Minister Counsellor of the Sierra Leone Embassy in Russia, John Borbor Laggah said in view of the long-standing bilateral and technical co-operation between the two countries, especially in the medical sector, the Embassy thought it was apt to knock on their door to help financially and materially to stamp out the Ebola virus that is presently plaguing the country.
