To a crowd full of women— and some men—Mariatu Kamara of Sierra Leone told her violent and inspirational story of courage during the country’s civil war on the eve of International Women’s Day.
“This is a very difficult story,” began Kamara, who was the keynote speaker for the 5th annual International Women’s Day luncheon hosted by Halton Women’s Place last Friday (March 7) at the Holiday Inn.
