Construction of New Airport At Mamamah to Commence Soon

Minister of Transport and Aviation, Leonard BalogunKoroma, has said that construction of the new airport at Mamamah, Mile 38, will commence soon. The minister was speaking last Wednesday while hosting the outgoing US Ambassador to Sierra Leone Michael Owen.

In addition to the airport, there are also plans to begin the construction of a sea port in Sulima, in Pujehun District.

There are also other infrastructural development projects to be funded by World Bank, he said. The aim is to ensure a good investment climate in Sierra Leone.
