Sierra Leone News: Sierra Leonean bags UN award

A Sierra Leonean, Dr. Mohamed Sheriff was among the proud winners of this year’s UN 21 Award in the Category of “Efficiency”.
This was announced by the United Nations Secretary General Ban ki Moon at a ceremony at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Friday, 13 September 2013.

Dr Sheriff is currently working for the United Nations in East African Region and his work in changing the approach to Food Safety and Quality Management in Peacekeeping Mission was one of the projects selected among 100 nominated projects for this 2013 United Nations Award.
