This best icecream in Freetown.
Once upon a time in Italy there lived a fashion mogul named Vittorio Tadei. His son “Gigi” (short for Luigi) was involved in a tragic accident in 2006. Stricken with grief, Tadei already a philanthropist, started many more projects in memory of his son. Among these, an Icecream store - the “Gigibonta” (Bonta meaning “goodness”) was started. Already having stores in other cities across the world, Gigibonta opened their Freetown store in March 2017. They make fresh (and delicious) Italian ice-cream in a variety of interesting flavours. They also have loads of other pastries, Sangria, and fresh juice made right in front of your eyes. It is located right along Aberdeen Beach so you can enjoy the sea breeze as you sit on a beach chair licking ice-cream. The only downside is it only comes in cups so if, like me, you enjoy eating ice-cream out of a cone that’s too bad.
