Perhaps this guy was just too heavy for the bed….

I was hoping all the major teams would boycott the Games. That way SL athletes could win medals easily due to the lack of competition…

Let’s hope that our athletes don’t do the usual and run off claiming asylum…not sure they’d be that welcome in India!

As much as I feel bad for India, all I can say is, thank God none of this happened in South Africa.

Quite a funny story really amidst all the other bad reports. This heavy weight guy seem to leave all his weight on the bed which is obviously not strong enough for a light weight let alone heavy. But seriously, the Indian authorities had more than 4yrs to plan and build all the facilities and accommodation,so how did they get it so wrong?
Well, with this in mind I think Gbenko is right!

It’ll be good if Sierra leoneans athletes could take the opportunity to take part,if possible,so that those who have never taken part in a major sporting event before could gain alot of practice/experience,ready for 2012 Olympics.
‘Things fall apart’ springs to mind but lets hope it all turns out right in the end.
Yep..Otolo SA did the whole of Africa proud, for real!

The opening ceremony seemed to go on with no hiccup. It looked fantastic tbh… well done to them for making that come back from all the negative reports… hopefully the rest of the games will live up to the same standards

The games are going well and the media seem to have cooled down on the ‘Delhi belly’ illness which affected alot of the swimmers more than others.
Now, what about the Sierra Leonean competitors…I managed to see, Mohammed Kamara-ranked 17th and his total was 245kg(winner 333kg). 110 hurdles,Amara Kamara-ranked 6th and time 16.54 (winner’s time 13.65).
Hopefully, we’ll see a few more before the games are over.
