World football governing body Fifa has finally announced its ‘normalisation committee’ for the Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA).

The five-man team will be headed by a one time SLFA executive Alie Fornah, and it has six months to conduct fresh elections.

The committee will be responsible for the daily business of the association, taking orders mainly from the Fifa and the Confederations of African Football (Caf).

“The normalisation committee will assume the position of executive committee of the SLFA and shall organise a proper designation of the delegates, organise elective congress and carry out any other task that might be agreed upon with Fifa and Caf,” a statement from the SLFA secretariat said over the weekend.
