Sierra Leone Investment and Export Promotion Agency (SLIEPA), in collaboration with government, through the Ministry of Trade and Industry, organized a forum to create an interface dialogue between the Private Sector and international investors for partnership.
The forum saw Ministries of government showcasing business potentials to foreign as well as national investors expressing business interests in Sierra Leone.
The forum also brought to light growth in the communications industry, with special reference to the recently pronounced Fibre optic development which is aimed at improving Internet connectivity, international telephone calls, including video and audio recordings, respectively. In his remarks, Ambassador Raymond who doubles as Head of the European Delegation reiterated the importance of trade and said it helps reduce a country’s unemployment and poverty rate.
Reflection must be drawn to contributions of the European Union in the area of change.
The forum outlined the goodies and betterment assuredly hoped for should investors come to do business inSierra Leone.
It could be recalled that a similar forum was held inLondonwhere international business tycoons where shown the potential investment possibilities inSierra Leone.
The forum was practically guided by the Agenda for Change policy, a call once made by the President of Sierra Leone.
The Agenda for Change provides the basis for government to improve on the country.
