Angola will Sunday face Sierra Leone in their final preparatory match before they head out to Equatorial Guinea for the Africa Cup of Nations.
Angola coach Lito Jose Vidigal says an agreement has been reached for his team to test their readiness for the Nations Cup against Sierra Leone.
“We play our final friendly on Sunday against Sierra Leone,” disclosed Vidigal.
The Palancas Negras were considering a warm-up against either Namibia or Sierra Leone to round up their build-up for the biennial tournament.
Vidigal, who led his team to a goalless draw with a second-string Nigeria team Wednesday, saluted the quality of opposition they faced in Abuja.
“I must admit the Nigerians were good, but so also Angola. We have only been together for about 11 months and I am impressed also by what we produced against Nigeria.”
Angola are drawn at the 2012 Nations Cup in Group B along with Cote d’Ivoire, Sudan and Burkina Faso.
“It is my dream to win the Nations Cup, but we have to get to the tournament first,” said the young Angola coach.
