Short Break - Tacugama Eco-lodge (3 days) |

 Working in Freetown and hardly have the time to spend the weekend with your partner or friends? Maybe you have thought about it but never got down to making it happen. You in town for only the weekend? This itinerary is ideal for you. It appeals to city folks who are looking to get away without venturing into the country. Tacugama is only about 20 mins from Freetown but once you get there it feels like you are much further away.
Day 1: You will be picked up after lunch and transferred to the Tacugama Sanctuary to spend 2 nights in one of Tacugama’s eco-lodges overlooking the rainforest. Basic breakfast is served but Tacugama is a self catering accommodation facility. We will provide a private chef who will provide you with freshly cooked dinner.
Day 2: Join the morning tour at Tacugama Chimpanzee Sanctuary meeting the sanctuary’s 80+chimpanzee population. You can spend the afternoon walking to Charlotte Falls and in the Krio villages of Charlotte, Bathurst and Regent. Dinner will be served to you before you final night at the Tacugama Eco-lodge.
Day 3: Have a lazy lie-in or choose to depart immediately after breakfast – it’s entirely up to you. At an agreed time we will pick you up and bring you back down to Freetown where you will spend the rest of the evening. |
