Paddy's Never Close, but their chef is pretty quiet at times !

Formerly the best Nightclub in town now much reduced but still apparently serving food when they can.

Paddies

What can you say about Paddies; their tag-line is we never close, but they do get pretty quiet at times. For years Paddies was THE nightclub in town, but it is now facing a number of challenges from other clubs around town.. but when it’s not heaving with people dancing Paddies presents its less well-known face as a restaurant.
Paddies advertises itself as an Indian restaurant and they do a good curry, they also have a huge rambling menu with Chinese, local and western dishes; which are often not available but are generally ok when you can get them. In the early evening as a place to meet friends, you can sit on their balcony area looking out over Pirate Bay and enjoy a meal with some leisurely beers as the place slowly fills up (it doesn’t start ‘happening’ until well gone midnight). If you’ve got the midnight nibbles they have quick ‘roast meats’ and other items on the barbecues; and they will still serve a curry at 1am.
It’s definitely a night club with a restaurant rather than the other way round. Service is erratic, the waiters and bar-staff never ever have change and fumble in their pockets and tills hoping you’ll give up and let them keep it. The food service can be slow, we’ve even had to go into the kitchen to check the cook is actually awake once, but if you haven’t eaten at Paddies yet, give it a try.

(3* because : the food's ok and I like the view )

Paddys is dead

It is such a shame to see Paddys as it is. You wouldn't believe this is the same place that would produce queues stretching to Abderdeen Bridge. I hope they can revive it but that's going to be one hell of a task. It's still a cool spot/location.

No better place at 3am

It's true. Paddys is often very quiet these days which is a shame. Their restaurant can often deliver some really tasty food..maybe the alcohol helps. I enjoyed some noodles i got there the other night. Not bad, i just wish the club was more happening these days.
