I spent a few nights at Csountry Lodge just to get away from family for a while. It's quiet, and I enjoyed meals and wine on the balcony. The food is very good, staff super courteous, and rooms are clean. The road leading to the hotel though could be improved... though this is a problem with all hotels in Freetown.

taking into consideration it's freetown hotels we're talking about, the country lodge is great. ok, it's not luxurious as in europe, but it has everything you need. the staff is super friendly and helpfull. for instance, I hurt my foot a little at the beach rocks. when the receptionist noticed that - she sent someone to a pharmacy to get a disinfectant paste and as it arrived she sat in front of me and rubbed it herself !
we had a bungalo with two bedrooms, it was comfortable and had a/c and everything we needed. when we asked for something to fix or do - it was done instantly.
very recommended.

Marvellous location giving us great views whilst having breakfast and dinner. Food very good. Our suite was excellent; spacious, good bed, with air-conditioning, useful TV channels, easy internet access. The staff were very friendly and helped us a lot with organising transport. The prices were aimed at business travellers and for us holiday makers they were very expensive. In Freetown, however, there is not much alternative.

The WiFi internet access was good in the restaurant bar area and the friendliness of all the staff was beyond price, all in all a good hotel I would recommend to anybody.

Country Lodge is the place to stay as a business traveller in Sierra Leone. At the end of a long hot day the swimming pool, a cold beer and gorgeous view are a welcome relief Their friendly and helpful staff really try and get it right! The Mongolian Buffet on Friday nights is divine! While the internet and satellite are still affected by the rains, it's about as good as it gets so far in Sierra Leone
